By Hand Table

Figured maple, East Indian rosewood, ipil; 30" high by 46" round without leaves, 92" long with leaves.

I built this table for a furniture exhibition in the early 1980’s. Luckily, the piece didn’t sell and I needed a dining room table; my family has been eating dinner at it ever since, and it still looks good. The ipil has excellent bloodlines: it came from the library of a former home of J.P. Morgan.
